George Clooney<\/strong><\/a> is feeling under the weather as the 82nd Venice International Film Festival kicks off.<\/p>\n

Clooney, 64, was not present for a press junket promoting his new film, Jay Kelly<\/em>,<\/a> which is premiering at the annual festival in Italy. He was also absent from a dinner with castmates including Adam Sandler <\/strong>and Laura Dern<\/strong>, per The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

A representative for Clooney confirmed to People<\/em><\/a> that the actor skipped the events on Wednesday, August 27, amid an illness.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, George has a sinus infection and, under doctor\u2019s orders, he has had to scale back his activities today,\u201d a rep told the outlet.<\/p>\n
