Escape to the Country presenter Richie Anderson has issued a warning to this year’s group of Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestants ahead of the 2025 series<\/h2>\n
Ex-Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> contestant Richie Anderson has some advice for this year’s celebrity line-up.<\/a><\/p>\n Radio 2’s Richie, who is gearing up to make his first appearance on Escape to the Country in its 26th series, strutted his stuff on the BBC<\/a> dance competition three years ago.<\/p>\n The telly star lit up the dance floor with Italian pro dancer Giovanni Pernice, featuring in the 2022 series as a same-sex couple. This followed in the footsteps of boxer Nicola Adams and Katya Jones, who were the first pair to represent the LGBTQ community on the show, making television history.<\/p>\n Despite Richie winning over audiences with his boundless energy, extravagant outfits, and the heartfelt connection he displayed through dance with Giovanni, the duo were sent packing in week three.<\/p>\n Even though he didn’t clinch the trophy, Richie was a firm favourite among viewers, so much so that he was asked to be a guest reviewer on the sister show strictly<\/a>-come-dancing>Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>: It Takes Two, reports Wales Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n The TV personality has some pearls of wisdom for the newbies, encouraging this year’s celebs not to “don’t get overwhelmed” during the early stages of the contest.<\/p>\n Chatting to Wales Online, he advised: “Just sort of enjoy it. Especially at this point because you get announced and then there is a month before it starts and then obviously you’re training.<\/p>\n He elaborated further: “You have all your costume fittings, so just enjoy this part of it now before it all starts and don’t get overwhelmed by it all.
