We\u2019re days away from the 50th Toronto International Film Festival kicking off in Toronto \u2014 and it\u2019s set to be a year packed with celebrities.<\/p>\n
TIFF runs from Sept. 4 to 14 and will \u201ccelebrate the best of Canadian and global cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n
From world premieres<\/a> featuring actors like Angelina Jolie and Seth Rogen to films with appearances from celebrities including Charli xcx and Margaret Qualley<\/a>, Toronto will soon welcome all kinds of superstars to the city.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a look at who you might just have the chance to spot.<\/p>\n This year at TIFF, there will be a \u201cred carpet-ready\u201d slate of movies, according to the festival. This includes the world premiere of Alice Winocour\u2019s \u201cCouture,\u201d starring the Academy Award-winning Jolie.<\/p>\n Canadian actor and comedian Rogen stars in Asiz Ansari\u2019s \u201cGood Fortune\u201d alongside Keanu Reeves and Keke Palmer, which will also make its world premiere at TIFF.<\/p>\n Another film with a star-studded cast making its world premiere is \u201cFuze,\u201d featuring actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Sam Worthington and\u00a0Gugu Mbatha-Raw.\u00a0<\/p>\n And TIFF\u2019s Centrepiece program, the festival\u2019s \u201cglobal showcase of compelling cinema from around the world,\u201d will spotlight Ethan Hawke and Qualley, who is featured in other popular 2025 films like \u201cHappy Gilmore 2\u201d and \u201cHoney Don\u2019t!\u201d<\/p>\n The Canadian premiere of \u201cHamnet,\u201d stars Irish actor Paul Mescal and will also take place at the festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n For any Sydney Sweeny fans, you can catch the \u201cEuphoria\u201d actor as pro-boxer Christy Martin in the biopic \u201cChristy.\u201d And speaking of Euphoria, Jacob Elordi will return to TIFF as the star of Oscar-winning\u00a0director Guillermo del Toro\u2019s \u201cFrankenstein.\u201d Elordi appeared at the festival last year as Julius in \u201cOn Swift Horses.\u201d<\/p>\n Actor Maude Apatow, known for her role in \u201cEuphoria,\u201d will premiere her film \u201cPoetic License,\u201d which features her mother, Leslie Mann, at the festival.<\/p>\n Johansson has also taken a seat in the director\u2019s chair with the North American premiere of her film \u201cEleanor the Great\u201d during TIFF this year. The movie marks Johansson\u2019s directorial debut and stars the 95-year-old Oscar nominee June Squibb.<\/p>\n Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Rami Malek star in \u201cNuremberg,\u201d the \u201cgripping historical drama<\/a>\u201d from writer-director James Vanderbilt. And Kaya Scodelario of \u201cThe Maze Runner\u201d and Josh Gad of \u201cFrozen\u201d are featured in the \u201cdevilishly comic neo-noir<\/a>\u201d film \u201cAdulthood\u201d from Alex Winter.<\/p>\n If you grew up watching the Olsen twins, sibling Elizabeth Olsen will star in David Freyne\u2019s \u201cEternity\u201d alongside Miles Teller and Callum Turner.<\/p>\n Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst will be featured alongside Channing Tatum in the \u201cwildly entertaining drama<\/a>\u201d from Oscar-nominated director Derek Cianfrance. Tatum will be presented with a TIFF Tribute Performer Award during the festival.<\/p>\n Also being recognized is Canadian icon Catherine O\u2019Hara, who will receive the TIFF Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award. Award-winning actor, producer, director and musician Idris Elba will be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Award in Impact Media.<\/p>\n Beyond the big screen, TIFF\u2019s iconic \u201cIn Conversation With<\/a>\u201d series will feature in-depth talks with actors Dwayne Johnson and Canada\u2019s Ryan Reynolds.<\/p>\n
