ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR<\/a>) \u2013 The Song of the Mountains concert is returning on Saturday, September 6, to the Lincoln Theatre in Marion.<\/p>\n Song of the Mountain is celebrating their 21st season playing out of Lincoln Theatre.<\/p>\n \u201cWe bring bluegrass, old time, acoustic music, gospel, country, a little bit of rock n\u2019 roll from time to time, but basically heavily laced with bluegrass and old time music,\u201d said Tim White, host of the Song of the Mountains.<\/p>\n Rodney Dillard, the last surviving Darling boy from the Andy Griffith Show, will join the festivities on September 6 with his band The Dillards. Officials say the lineup will also include Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers.<\/p>\n \u201cI watched Rodney and the boys on the Andy Griffith Show when I was a kid growing up during the first run,\u201d White recalls when he got to meet Rodney Dillard.<\/p>\n \u201cI call those pinch me moments. It\u2019s really good not only people like, Rodney Dillard and the Darling boys, but I\u2019ve gotten to work with the first generation bluegrassers like Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Jim and Jessie, Mac Wiseman, and most of those guys are gone now.
