Things are heating up for one of the few announced Star Wars<\/i><\/a> projects on the horizon, as Lucasfilm has announced a bunch of new cast members for Star Wars: Starfighter<\/i>, which starts production today. Flynn Gray, Matt Smith<\/a>, Mia Goth<\/a>, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams<\/a> will all joining Ryan Gosling in Shawn Levy<\/a>\u2019s new space adventure, set to premiere in 2027.<\/p>\n

There are some heavy-hitters in that list: Adams is one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation with six Oscar nominations and a slew of credits including Arrival<\/i>, Enchanted<\/i>, and The Master<\/i>, while also serving as Zack Snyder\u2019s Lois Lane. Goth, meanwhile, has become a horror queen thanks to Ti West\u2019s X<\/i> trilogy, as well as roles in Infinity Pool<\/i> and Susperia<\/i> \u2014 she\u2019ll next be seen in Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein<\/i> later this year.<\/p>\n

Pierre\u2019s credits include the acclaimed limited series The Underground Railroad<\/i>, playing Malcolm X in NatGeo\u2019s Genius: MLK\/X<\/i>, and portraying a young Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King<\/i>. And Smith\u2019s latest movie, Darren Aronofsky\u2019s Caught Stealing<\/i><\/a>, hits theaters on August 29th, but the Doctor Who<\/i> and Crown<\/i> star has recently become a staple across multiple major franchises thanks to appearances in Terminator Genisys<\/i>, Morbius<\/i> (not his fault), and House of the Dragon<\/i>.<\/p>\n
