New Netflix film The Thursday Murder Club\u00a0was partially\u00a0filmed at\u00a0historic Reading country mansion\u00a0Englefield House.<\/p>\n

The brand new mystery-comedy,\u00a0based on Richard Osman’s best-selling novel of the same name, and has just been released to cinemas.<\/p>\n

The film features a star-studded cast, with the plot following four retirees – Helen Mirren as Elizabeth, Pierce Brosnan as Ron, Ben Kingsley as Ibrahim, and Celia Imrie as Joyce – who spend their time tackling cold case murders for fun.<\/p>\n

Englefield House is one of the filming locations used in the film, appearing as the luxury retirement village Coopers Chase.<\/p>\n

Englefield Gardens, St Mark’s Church and the drive can also be seen in the film, which was shot last summer.<\/p>\n

Peter Carson, Englefield Estate\u2019s Events and Filming Manager, said: \u201cIt was a pleasure to host the cast and crew of The Thursday Murder Club here at the Estate.<\/p>\n
