It\u2019s like\u00a0<\/span>MTV Unplugged\u00a0<\/span><\/em>crossed with\u00a0<\/span>VH1 Storytellers<\/span><\/em>\u2014 with some new technology added in.<\/span><\/p>\n Words + Music,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>a new TV series based on the Audible audio series of the same name, is coming to MGM+ Nov. 30 and\u00a0John Legend<\/strong>\u00a0is among the featured artists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Like\u00a0<\/span>Unplugged\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and\u00a0<\/span>Storytellers<\/span><\/em>, each episode will feature artists sharing the stories behind their most iconic songs, followed by performances of those songs, either solo or with a band. There will also be an immersive video experience, courtesy of a stage that includes a 79-by-80-foot LED screen and 105 motion capture cameras, according to a press release.<\/span><\/p>\n As the artists tell their stories, they\u2019ll be surrounded by \u201cdynamic visual narratives\u201d: the environment around them will \u201ctransform to reflect each anecdote and song,\u201d the release says.<\/span><\/p>\n The show is being produced by Gunpowder and Sky, the studio run by\u00a0Van Toffler<\/strong>, the former president of MTV Networks. Toffler says, \u201cThe result is something as intimate as a backstage confession and as cinematic as a feature film.
