\u201cHow it feels rebuilding your life after being in love with a charismatic, wealthy cult leader, who burned it to the ground,\u201d Allen, 33, wrote on top of a Thursday, August 28, TikTok<\/a> video of herself twirling on the front lawn of a vast estate.<\/p>\n

Allen did not reveal the identity of her ex or the organization, though she did offer clarity into her personal experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me be very clear: Nobody can burn down your life unless you give them access to it,\u201d Allen wrote. \u201cThat\u2019s the part I\u2019ve had to own. I\u2019ve sat with the hardest questions: Why did I trust him? Why did I hand over my power? Why did I silence my own inner knowing? The truth is, he was selling fairy tales and from luxurious penthouses and private jets. I foolishly bought in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen further revealed what \u201cshattered\u201d her about leaving her then-partner\u2019s shadow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I learned is that even if you spend every waking moment with someone \u2014 studying, eating, traveling, working, building, dreaming \u2014 you still may not KNOW them,\u201d the actress said. \u201cEspecially when you\u2019re dealing with someone who lies as easily as they breathe. That realization shattered me, but it also forced me to rebuild from the ground up, and fire is also cleansing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen concluded her post with a promise to \u201cshare the full story\u201d about her experience down the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor now, I\u2019m walking forward with feet on solid ground and a heart that knows strength,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Allen\u2019s social media followers quickly offered their support, with one commenting that she \u201chad a gut feeling something was off.\u201d<\/p>\n
