Keith Bynum<\/a> had a hilarious \u2014 and relatable \u2014 reason for missing the most recent episode of Bargain Block<\/em><\/a> on HGTV.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, what did y\u2019all think of the episode last night? I haven\u2019t seen it,\u201d Bynum asked his followers in a Thursday, August 28, Instagram Story video. As for his excuse? \u201cDoes anybody have an HBO Max login?\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n Bargain Block<\/em> returned with the first of its final four Season 4 episodes on August 20. The show\u2019s Wednesday, August 27, episode saw Bynum, Evan Thomas<\/a>, and Shea Hicks-Whitfield give new life to a run-down midcentury modern home in Detroit, Michigan.<\/p>\n \u201cHope you liked last night\u2019s episode of Bargain Block, where we added a dash of seasoning with Sherwin-Williams Sea Salt (SW 6204) to add a bit of flair to a midcentury modern home office!\u201d Bynum captioned before and after pics of the home\u2019s office makeover via Instagram<\/a> on Thursday. \u201cIf you missed this transformation last night, stream Bargain Block<\/em> now on @hbomax or @discoveryplus.\u201d<\/p>\n In his own Instagram<\/a> post about Wednesday\u2019s episode, Thomas wrote, \u201cWe wanted to pay homage to mid century style while still feeling modern and sellable for today\u2019s market. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n The stars of Bargain Block<\/em> have received lots of support from fans since Bynum broke news of the show\u2019s cancellation<\/a> in June. \u201cWe do have a few more episodes coming out in August, actually starting on Evan\u2019s birthday,\u201d he explained in an Instagram Story Q&A at the time. \u201cBut they are the remainder of Season 4 \u2019cause they did not renew the show for Season 5.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201c[HGTV] originally greenlit it, and I guess that was back in December. Then they decided in February, after we got everything ready for Season 5, that they weren\u2019t gonna do it.\u201d<\/p>\n Bargain Block<\/em> was one of many shows to get the axe in June, including Married to Real Estate<\/a><\/em>, Izzy Does It<\/a><\/em>, and Farmhouse Fixer<\/a><\/em>. More shows met the chopping block in July, including Battle on the Beach<\/a><\/em>, Christina on the Coast<\/a><\/em>, and The Flipping El Moussas<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Bynum shared an emotional message<\/a> with fans ahead of Bargain Block<\/em>\u2018s return earlier this month, writing, \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to be part of something so wonderful and it\u2019s hard to say goodbye but I\u2019m beyond grateful for the last five years,\u201d he captioned an August 19 Instagram<\/a> post. \u201cOur amazing fans have welcomed us into their homes like we were their best friends and we felt that. The amount of people that come up to us and ask for a hug or a physical connection of some kind is beautiful to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Bynum went on to note that he is \u201cgrateful for leaving HGTV at a high point,\u201d explaining, \u201cWhile the decision to leave was not ours, it\u2019s clear we have fans that will support us no matter what network we land on and that is a comfort. I\u2019ll admit, the anger we experienced in the last few months was tough to handle, but seeing how many of you were also angry helped us see a path forward.
