\u201cEverything between Pamela and Liam has been genuine,\u201d a source close to the situation tells Us Weekly<\/em> amid reports from TMZ<\/em><\/a> and Rob Shuter<\/strong><\/a> that Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, faked a romance as a publicity stunt for their film, The Naked Gun<\/em>. The pair play onscreen lovers Beth Davenport and Frank Drebin Jr. in the legacy sequel, which hit theaters on August 1.<\/p>\n

Rumors of a romance between Anderson and Neeson swirled when the costars got cozy with each other on the red carpet at the London premiere of The Naked Gun<\/em> on July 22. At one point while taking photos together, Anderson leaned over and kissed Neeson on the cheek. In another sweet moment, Neeson wrapped his arm around Anderson\u2019s waist and held her hand.<\/p>\n

A source exclusively confirmed to Us<\/em> on July 29 that Anderson and Neeson had begun \u201cdating\u201d<\/a> after they connected while filming the movie, noting that the couple \u201calways had chemistry\u201d on set and \u201ctheir friendship naturally developed into more.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Anderson, 58, planted a kiss on Neeson\u2019s cheek during The Naked Gun\u2019s London premiere last week, the pair were asked by Entertainment Tonight about the display of PDA while attending the New York City premiere on Monday, July 28. \u201cThey are both shy and have tried to stay private but the spark between them is obvious,\u201d the insider added.<\/p>\n

Anderson\u2019s sons, Brandon<\/strong>, 29, and Dylan<\/strong>, 27, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee<\/strong>, even gave their stamp of approval to the romance. Both sons and their mom were in attendance for The Naked Gun<\/em>\u2019s New York City premiere on July 28. The trio posed with Neeson and his two sons, Miche\u00e1l<\/strong>, 30, and Daniel<\/strong>, 28, whom he shared with late wife Natasha Richardson<\/strong> before her death at age 45 in 2009.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Brandon and Dylan] love seeing [their mom] happy and fully approve,\u201d the insider said, adding that they \u201cthink Liam is great and have gotten to know him better in the last few months.\u201d<\/p>\n
