Frankie Muniz<\/a> is going to have to put his second career as a racecar driver on hold for a bit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The former \u201cMalcolm In the Middle\u201d and \u201cAgent Cody Banks\u201d actor said Thursday he broke his wrist in a fall from a ladder. He will miss his next NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and several more weeks after that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe phrase \u2018FML\u2019 (Frankie Muniz\u2019s Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these,\u201d Muniz, 39, wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m disappointed to share that I won\u2019t be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Muniz, who has focused mostly on driving since \u201cMalcolm\u201d ended in 2006, tried to make light of the mishap.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cYesterday, I fell from the top of a ladder while changing the batteries in a Ring camera in my backyard,\u201d he explained. \u201cNote to self: heed the ladder warning that says, \u2018Do not sit or stand on top step.\u2019 In hindsight, a taller ladder would\u2019ve been smarter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhile I\u2019m gutted to miss the races, I\u2019m grateful it wasn\u2019t worse,\u201d he continued. \u201cI feel for my team, who\u2019ve poured their hearts into this season, and I\u2019m thankful for Ford Performance and their unwavering support. The doctor estimates a 6-8 week recovery, so I\u2019ll be back in the driver\u2019s seat as soon as I\u2019m cleared.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
