The BBC has treated fans to a first look at the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing line-up, who have showcased their dance moves in a new video.<\/p>\n
Set to return to screens on 20 September<\/a> with the pre-recorded launch show, the BBC series<\/a> has lined up 15 new celebrities<\/a> for its 23rd season.<\/p>\n Taking to Instagram<\/a>, Strictly shared a first look at the celebs in dancing mode, with the new video introducing each contestant in a unique way.<\/p>\n “From actors to sports stars… our Class of #Strictly 2025 can do it all,” they captioned the post.<\/p>\n Competing for the Glitterball Trophy this year are Balvinder Sopal, Lewis Cope, Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, George Clarke and La Voix.<\/p>\n BBC<\/span><\/p>\n Related: <\/strong>Best streaming services<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n They are joined by Chris Robshaw, Vicky Pattison, Ellie Goldstein, Thomas Skinner, Stefan Dennis, Ross King and Karen Carney.<\/p>\n All of the above are featured in the Instagram video, which can be seen below. In a nod to her radio presenting duties, Pattison wears headphones, while former footballer Hasselbaink catches a football.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, rugby player Robshaw catches a glitterball as though it’s a rugby ball and former Emmerdale star Cope can be seen reading a script.<\/p>\n Cope, who played Nicky Miligan on the ITV soap, was a late addition to the cast<\/a> having been added to the line-up after Game of Thrones star and DJ Kristian Nairn withdrew from the show<\/a> due to medical advice.<\/p>\n Related: <\/strong>Strictly <\/strong>star shares update after “scary” fall in training led to hospital dash<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n “With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons,” Nairn said in a statement.<\/p>\n “I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I\u2019m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor. Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian.”<\/p>\n Strictly Come Dancing<\/strong> airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off <\/strong>Strictly: It Takes Two<\/a><\/strong> airs on weeknights on BBC Two.
