Soulfly, led by the legendary Max Cavalera, have announced a new album titled Chama. The metal band\u2019s 13th LP will arrive on October 24th, and features the just-released single \u201cStorm the Gates\u201d (listen below).<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s current lineup is a family affair, with Max joined by sons Igor Amadeus Cavalera (bass) and Zyon Cavalera (drums), along with guitarist Mike De Leon.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the album, Max stated, \u201cChama is the Brazilian word for flame. It also means a \u2018calling\u2019. Respect to Alex Pereira for usjng Itsari on his UFC walkouts. Chama is inspired by the energy of this moment. This record is the sound of Soulfly\u2019s fire! I cannot wait to play these songs live for the Tribe! Chama!\u201d<\/p>\n

Zyon added, \u201cWith each Soulfly record I\u2019ve played on, I can feel my evolution happening in real time. This record was no different as I got to handle a good amount of the production for the first time. Trying to take the band to places we have never been before was a blast and I look forward to more production work in the future!\u201d<\/p>\n
