The Bachelorette<\/em> alum Katie Thurston<\/strong><\/a> shared an emotional update amid her stage 4 breast cancer battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Posting a clip of herself via her Instagram Story<\/a> on Friday, August 29, Thurston, 34, confessed she was \u201ccrying on a Friday night\u201d as she worried that she had contracted COVID.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving breast cancer<\/a> has you literally Googling everything and questioning everything. I\u2019m exhausted. So exhausted,\u201d the reality star said in the Instagram post. \u201cBut this is my off week for my medicine and so this was supposed to be the week where I like recover and start to feel good again and whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thurston told her followers that she had ordered a COVID test due to arrive \u201cshortly\u201d but wasn\u2019t sure if she was \u201coverthinking\u201d things.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKatie Thurston has \u201cmoments\u201d when she feels like she\u2019s dying amid her battle with stage 4 breast cancer. \u201cI think that comes from reading from other people\u2019s experiences. Just like others, there\u2019s just a lot of unknown. People just aren\u2019t experienced with cancer,\u201d Thurston, 34, said during a Thursday, April 17, appearance on \u201cUncomfortable Conversations\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m nervous because I don\u2019t actually know what happens, I know it sounds like I\u2019ll cry. Why am I going to cry?\u201d a teary Thurston said.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cUgh. Breast cancer just has you, like, freaking out about everything. You know, you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, what\u2019s COVID like when you have breast cancer? What\u2019s COVID like when you have low white blood cell counts? Maybe I\u2019m just f***ing crashing out, I don\u2019t know guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

After wiping tears from eyes, Thurston was determined to look on the bright side.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest though, I also ordered ice cream with my COVID test so everything\u2019s going to be OK today,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In a follow up Instagram Story post, Thurston shared a photo of her COVID test as well her Ben & Jerry\u2019s ice cream purchase.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo COVID. Just a tired hypochondriac with breast cancer,\u201d she wrote, confirming the test returned a negative result.<\/p>\n
