His pregnant wife miscarried when Faith Rosco (Cynthia Preston) shoved her down the stairs. Blinded by grief and unaware of the true cause, Ric blamed his half-brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and sought revenge in the cruelest way possible\u2014by targeting Sonny\u2019s child with Carly.<\/p>\n Ric bought a new home and customized it with a soundproof panic room, complete with security cameras, a baby crib, and even a mobile. Carly resisted at every turn, refusing food and trying to escape.<\/p>\n At one point, she managed to reach Sonny by phone, but Ric stopped her before she could reveal her location. Later, she broke one of the surveillance monitors and was electrocuted in the process. Despite Carly\u2019s desperate fight, Ric continued to gaslight Elizabeth, convincing her she was imagining noises in the house.<\/p>\n Ric\u2019s control began slipping when Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King) uncovered the panic room and decided to use Carly\u2019s captivity to his own advantage.
