For what the album is, it\u2019s perfect for, you know, kind of what it represents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/20\/entertainment\/sabrina-carpenter-mans-best-friend-album-cover-defended-by-carly-simon\/\">The original cover <\/a>shows Carpenter kneeling in a black dress and high heels, grasping a man\u2019s leg as he pulls her hair from above. <\/p>\n<p>Carpenter said her initial reaction to hearing the criticism was \u201cY\u2019all need to get out more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Grammy Award-winning singer told the outlet her interpretation of the artwork is \u201cbeing in on your lack of control and when you want to be in control,\u201d adding that being a \u201cyoung woman, you\u2019re just as aware of when you\u2019re in control as when you\u2019re not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy fans that know me and know the person behind the music will look at that photo, and they know exactly what it is.
