One activity the Royals will be participating in is determining whether and which of their young players they should consider offering contract extensions to. If the Royals are considering it then you, the fans, should be considering it. And consider it you did!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n I don\u2019t think it\u2019s remotely surprising that Maikel Garcia kind of ran away with this one. He is the youngest of the three players, and despite all of them putting up good numbers, his have been the best over the course of the full season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n I have to admit I\u2019m a little<\/em> surprised that more people would rather extend none of them than extend Kris Bubic, who looked like an ace before he got hurt late in the season. Sure, he\u2019s an injury risk, but you can account for that in any possible extension, and good pitching is still hard to find and expensive on the open market.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
