Destination D23 is in full effect in Orlando, Florida, and the announcements are rolling in for the future of Disney Entertainment!<\/p>\n
Disney pulled back the curtain on a packed slate of upcoming projects across Marvel Studios, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation, and Disney+, giving fans plenty to look forward to in theaters \u2014 and on their screens \u2014 for years to come.<\/p>\n
One of the first surprises of the day came from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Russo Brothers sent in a video message straight from the set of “Avengers: Doomsday,” joined by Paul Rudd, who’s suiting up once again as Ant-Man.<\/p>\n
The duo confirmed that filming is officially underway for what’s expected to be one of Marvel’s biggest blockbusters yet.<\/p>\n
Blue Sky’s prehistoric pals are returning in “Ice Age: Boiling Point,” sliding into theaters Feb. 5, 2027. This time, Manny, Sid, Diego and the crew head into the lava-filled, dinosaur-packed Lost World.<\/p>\n
Pixar had a lot to celebrate, including the 30th anniversary of “Toy Story,” which is heading back to theaters Sept. 12 for a special re-release. But that wasn’t the only “Toy Story” news that made waves.<\/p>\n
Fans got their first look at “Toy Story 5,” coming to theaters June 19, 2026.<\/p>\n
The new installment pits the classic toy gang against a new generation of tech toys, including the film’s villain, Lilypad – an iPad in a frog-themed case.<\/p>\n
Comedian Conan O’Brien will voice a new character named Smarty Pants, and exclusive footage showed a malfunctioning army of Buzz Lightyears gone rogue, adding extra chaos to the toy box. Andrew Stanton directs the film with co-director Kenna Harris and producer Jessica Choi.<\/p>\n

Voice talent includes Piper Curda and Bobby Moynihan.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, Pixar confirmed “The Incredibles 3” is officially in development and part of its 2028 and beyond lineup.<\/p>\n “Zootopia 2,” in theaters Nov. 26, 2025, revealed new cast additions including Patrick Warburton as Mayor Winddancer and Yvette Nicole Brown as both EMT Otter and Baroness Bear.<\/p>\n The sequel follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they go undercover to solve a mystery threatening the city. New characters include voices by Ke Huy Quan, Quinta Brunson, Fortune Feimster and the return of Shakira as Gazelle.<\/p>\n Walt Disney Animation introduced “Hexed,” a new original feature debuting in November 2026.<\/p>\n It follows a teenage boy and his perfectionist mom who discover his odd behavior is actually magical. Their journey leads them to a hidden realm where magic runs wild.<\/p>\n “TRON: Ares,” arriving Oct. 10, 2025, will feature a score by Nine Inch Nails, which will temporarily take over the TRON Lightcycle Run rides in Florida and Shanghai starting Sept. 15.<\/p>\n As part of the celebration, the original “TRON” films will be released in 4K Ultra HD on Sept. 16. The new movie stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters and Jeff Bridges.<\/p>\n On Disney+, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw” premieres Dec. 5.<\/p>\n Based on the third book in Jeff Kinney’s series, the animated film follows Greg Heffley as he clashes with his dad’s expectations and faces a personal ultimatum. The cast includes Aaron D.
