target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to The Numbers<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler \u2014 \u201can aimless schlep with delusions of grandeur.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The crime thriller is slated to take in $9.5 million over the four-day holiday weekend, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/caught-stealing-roses-opening-day-weapons-1236502671\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Universal\u2019s 50th anniversary re-release of \u201cJaws\u201d swiftly swam to second, with sales of $3.08 million.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image returned to theaters on Friday and is expected to reel in $9.7 million this four-day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>In third was \u2018Weapons,\u201d which was finally dethroned after spending three Fridays at No. 1 since its opening, finished in third with a $2.7 million take.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Roses\u201d \u2014 a remake of the 1989 Michael Douglas-Kathleen Turner film \u201cThe War of the Roses\u201d \u2014
