However, even the biggest <em>Twilight<\/em> supporters will be first to point out some wonky hairstyling and makeup choices during the franchise, especially when it comes to the vampires. Recently, Jackson Rathbone spoke openly about what was going on with his hair throughout the movies, and it sounds like it was a rollercoaster for the actor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">During an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mswatchmojo\/?g=5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:MsMojo,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><u>MsMojo,<\/u><\/a> the actor behind the role of Jasper Hale in the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/news\/2492967\/what-the-twilight-cast-members-are-doing-now\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Twilight cast;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><u><em>Twilight <\/em><\/u><u>cast<\/u><\/a> explained the journey with his character\u2019s hair across the five years he was making the saga. Jackson Rathbone started by saying in the first <em>Twilight<\/em> movie, he used his genuine hair with the hairstyling team dyeing it blonde. However, for some reason they \u201cdidn\u2019t know how to deal\u201d with his curly, wavy hair from there. Here\u2019s what happened for <em>New Moon<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While we were filming Twilight: New Moon, I was filming M. Night Shyamalan&#8217;s The Last Airbender at the same time. So I had a very, very distinct haircut for that character, Sokka. So, they had to wig me for the second Twilight film. But, they tried to match my wig to my real hair and they didn\u2019t do a great job.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While fans talk a lot about the issues they had with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/news\/2550380\/why-avatar-the-last-airbender-fans-have-issues-with-m-night-shyamalans-movie\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s take on The Last Airbender;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><u>M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s take on <\/u><u><em>The Last Airbender<\/em><\/u><\/a>, Rathbone was certainly trying his best to embody the look of Sokka for the movie all while also playing a vampire in the <em>Twilight<\/em> sequel. However, when he got a wig for the second movie, he wasn\u2019t a fan of it. As he continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">And I was really young, and I didn\u2019t want to hurt anybody\u2019s feelings. And I didn\u2019t want to say \u2018This is a horrible wig\u2019. So I just said: \u2018Yay.\u2019 And, I did it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The actor must have been 24 at the time, and he only had a few acting credits to his name at the time. So it\u2019s understandable that he didn\u2019t speak up about the wig, but the fans sure did when <em>New Moon<\/em> came out. It was noticeably different from his hair in the first movie, and didn\u2019t really match his skin tone the best either. As Rathbone explained further:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">And then the third movie was a wig again, slightly better. And then the fourth and fifth movie was my hair again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Jackson Rathbone certainly wasn\u2019t the only actor on <em>Twilight<\/em> who had a lot of wigs throughout these movies. That was also the case for most of the cast, with Bella\u2019s <em>Eclipse<\/em> wig being one of the best examples of a not-great wig.
