Snoop Dogg<\/strong> is breaking his silence after his comments on LGBTQ+ representation in children’s movies sparked controversy online.<\/p>\n During the Aug. 20 episode of the It’s Giving<\/em> podcast, the rapper said he was \u201cscared to go to the movies,\u201d specifically children’s movies, due to LGBTQ+ characters being depicted in those films.<\/p>\n Snoop Dogg recalled watching the Disney and Pixar movie Lightyear<\/em> alongside his grandson. In the movie, one scene shows a female character saying she has a wife, and the couple is briefly shown kissing and later welcoming a baby together.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re like, \u2018And she had a baby \u2026 with a woman,'” Snoop Dogg said. “Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie, like, \u2018Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She a woman!’\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOh s—,” he recalled thinking in the theater. “I didn\u2019t come here for this s—. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”<\/p>\n \u201cIt threw me for a loop,” he added. “I\u2019m like, \u2018What part of the movie was this?\u2019 These are kids. We have to show that at this age?
