I made a list of the top five films I\u2019m most looking forward to, and I\u2019m surprised that a movie I just learned about this month made the cut. Here\u2019s what I\u2019ve decided are my most-anticipated movies as I await the last third of the year:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"mb-4\">\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><em><strong>Guillermo del Toro&#8217;s Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\"\/>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\"\/>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><em><strong>A Big Bold Beautiful Journey <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-decimal\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><em><strong>Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">First off, Guillermo del Toro is one of my favorite directors of all time and <em>Frankenstein<\/em> is one of those novels I\u2019ll never forget reading, so I\u2019m very excited for his take on the film. That had to take the top spot. Then there\u2019s <em>The Running Man<\/em>, which is a dystopian sci-fi action movie helmed by another Mount Rushmore filmmaker of mine, Edgar Wright. I had vaguely heard about it, but it wasn\u2019t until I saw the trailer (which you can watch on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xdKP22EaAuU\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:YouTube;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">YouTube<\/a>) that I understood what it\u2019s about. It\u2019s about a pair of strangers, who look to have some budding chemistry that happen upon a string of doors in unexpected places that allow each of them to relive their lives so far.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">I\u2019ve been on my own <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/articles\/watching-life-chuck-m-journey-100200112.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:journey to watch more life-affirming movies;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">journey to watch more life-affirming movies<\/a>, especially after seeing <em>The Life Of Chuck<\/em> earlier this year, and realizing that they are my favorite sorts of movies. <em>A Big Bold Beautiful Journey<\/em> looks like a really smart and emotional romance that features elements of magical realism and fantasy that will make it an epic experience worth seeing on the big screen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">What jumped out to me about the trailer is how packed it is with visual details and motifs that I think will make it a lot more unique than your typical romantic movie. It\u2019s also directed by Koganda, a South Korean filmmaker who has made two stunning and thought-provoking movies thus far in <em>Columbus <\/em>and <em>After Yang<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That\u2019s all without mentioning Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell being at the center of it, after both actors have proven to me that I can absolutely trust what projects they sign up for and not be disappointed.
