Midge Ure<\/a><\/strong>, the 1980\u2019s music<\/a> icon known for fronting the band Ultravox<\/a> and co-writing and producing Band Aid\u2019s charity single \u201cDo They Know It\u2019s Christmas?\u201d<\/a> played what he called \u201ca lovely last show, for the time being\u201d Saturday, Aug. 30 in Pordenone, Italy, as he battles an undisclosed \u201chealth issue that requires urgent treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n Ure shared a photo from the show on his official Instagram account<\/a> on Aug. 31, adding that the concert had a \u201cgreat setting\u201d and a \u201cgreat audience,\u201d and vowing, \u201cWe will be back \ud83d\ude4f.\u201d<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfac<\/strong> SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox<\/strong><\/a> \ud83c\udfac<\/strong><\/p>\n On Aug. 6 the singer-songwriter and record producer posted the news on his social media<\/a> accounts that he would be forced to postpone some upcoming dates.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is with great sadness and difficulty that I have to reschedule all shows planned from September onwards and aiming to be back on the road again by later this year,\u201d he wrote. \u201cDuring a recent routine check-up, doctors discovered a health issue that requires urgent treatment and a period of recovery,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Ure did not reveal details about his health issue but went on to apologize to his fans who may have already made plans to attend his upcoming gigs.<\/p>\n Fans offered thanks and support to Ure in the comments of his latest post on Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you, great show!
