In a clip showing behind-the-scenes footage of filming from the season, actor Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, was seen getting emotional, as director Dallas Jenkins embraced him.<\/p>\n
Jenkins also showed a scene from the second episode of Season 6, showing the apostle John speaking to Judas about the arrest of Jesus.<\/p>\n
\u2018Joseph of Egypt\u2019<\/h3>\n
Jenkins\u2019 5&2 Studios, the studio behind \u201cThe Chosen,\u201d is working on the series \u201cJoseph of Egypt,\u201d which will be released on Amazon\u2019s Prime Video.<\/p>\n
Jenkins shared a behind-the-scenes look at the show, which is filming now near Albuquerque, New Mexico.<\/p>\n
The show is being financed and produced by Amazon, but Jenkins said 5&2 Studios has creative oversight of the project and is overseeing it for biblical accuracy.<\/p>\n
\u2018The Chosen in the Wild With Bear Grylls\u2019<\/h3>\n
Jenkins also showed a clip from the upcoming show \u201cThe Chosen in the Wild With Bear Grylls.\u201d In the clip, Elizabeth Tabish, who plays Mary Magdalene in \u201cThe Chosen,\u201d was shown on an outdoor adventure with Grylls.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls,\u201d will also debut on Amazon\u2019s Prime Video.<\/p>\n
\u2018The Chosen Adventures\u2019<\/h3>\n
Jenkins also showed a clip from the upcoming animated series \u201cThe Chosen Adventures,\u201d which is an offshoot of episode 3, season 1 of \u201cThe Chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n
The show focuses on two children seen in that episode, Abby and Joshua, who will feature in the 14 episodes of the show. The show will also debut on Amazon\u2019s Prime Video, as part of 5&2 Studios partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.<\/p>\n
\u2018David\u2019<\/h3>\n
Jenkins showed a \u201csneak peek\u201d of the animated film \u201cDavid,\u201d depicting the life of the Old Testament prophet king.<\/p>\n
5&2 Studios is teaming up with Slingshot Productions to distribute the film to a global audience.<\/p>\n
\u201cDavid\u201d features the voice and songs from Grammy-nominated recording artist Phil Wickham as the lead character.<\/p>\n
The movie doesn\u2019t have an official release date yet.<\/p>\n
Mini documentary of the filming of Season 5 of \u2018The Chosen\u2019<\/h3>\n
Jenkins also showed a 30-minute mini-documentary about the filming of season 5 of \u201cThe Chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Sunday, Sept. 28, Season 5 of the show will be released on The Chosen app, Jenkins said. The release will include conversations with several of the actors from the show, he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
