On what would have been his 32nd birthday, the family of Liam Payne paid a visit to the last place they saw him alive.<\/a><\/p>\n

The singer tragically lost his life at the age of 31<\/a> after falling 45 feet from a third-floor balcony into a courtyard at the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

Despite the pain of his absence, his loved ones marked his first posthumous birthday on Aug. 29 with heartfelt tributes. His girlfriend, Kate Cassidy,<\/a> even baked a cake for him in a poignant video.<\/a><\/p>\n

The family, meanwhile, returned to his favorite spot.<\/p>\n

Liam’s sister Nicola shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, posting photos of the family at a local bowling alley – the same place they had celebrated his last birthday and where many had seen him for the last time, reports The Mirror.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“A year later same bowling alley, different lanes, one huge part of our family missing,” she wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n

In the post, she included a message she had penned for Liam: “A year ago today, we were so full of hope and excitement for what the years ahead would bring you.<\/p>\n

“We celebrated your birthday that night with bowling and McDonald’s, talking about your show, your dreams, and all the plans you had for the future.”<\/p>\n

She added, “We ended the evening with a hug, telling you how proud we were and how much we loved you. If I had known that would be the last time I’d see you, I would have said so much more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I wish I could step into a time machine and relive that night and hug you tighter, capture your smile and voice, ask more questions, and write it all down so I’d never forget.<\/p>\n

“I hope you’re happy, at peace, and know how deeply you are loved,” Nicola added. “I miss you every single day, and I don’t think there will ever be a day that I don’t.<\/p>\n

“So today, on your birthday, I want to wish you the happiest heavenly birthday. Wherever you are, I hope you’re celebrating and hopefully you’ve scored a few strikes too. Love you always,” she concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Previously, he had enjoyed his final days alongside girlfriend Kate Cassidy, whom he had been romantically involved with since 2022, during their vacation in Argentina where they attended former bandmate Niall Horan’s performance.<\/p>\n

Moments before the tragic news emerged, Payne had shared a shirtless photograph on his Snapchat story featuring the social media personality beside him.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the images seemed to be older content since she had documented her return journey on TikTok several days prior to the tragedy. Cassidy reportedly expressed feeling anxious and “ready to leave” after their planned five-day getaway stretched into two weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
