Pro wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett<\/strong> says Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> extended an impactful gesture to his family during the early stages of her career.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was Christmas of 2006 and my first wife was really ill with breast cancer,\u201d Jarrett, 58, said in an interview with TMZ Sports<\/i><\/a> on Saturday, August 30.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time, Jarrett lived in the same \u201csmall community\u201d in Hendersonsville, Tennessee as Swift, 35, and her family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After Swift was told about Jarrett\u2019s wife Jill Gregory<\/strong>\u2019s health struggles, the singer paid a visit to their household to see Jarrett, Gregory and the couple\u2019s three daughters: Joslyn<\/strong>, Jaclyn<\/strong> and Jerlyn<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe came over and didn\u2019t bring her guitar in,\u201d Jarrett said. \u201cShe actually ran back home because the girls wanted her to sing and play.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The visit came just two months after the release of Swift\u2019s self-titled\u00a0<\/span>debut album in October 2006.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was around Christmas time and it was on a weekend,\u201d Jarrett continued. \u201cOne thing led to another. Taylor went and got her guitar. Some more people dropped by and by the end of the afternoon, Taylor played about three hours in our great room. It\u2019s a pretty big space. There was probably 35, 45 people at the end of it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Jarrett\u2019s wife died just five months later in May 2007. After Jill\u2019s death, Swift was still a presence in the family\u2019s lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a very cool relationship that developed,\u201d Jarrett said. \u201cWhen my wife passed away, Taylor hung around and was really good to the girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift even cast Jarrett\u2019s daughter Jaclyn as a younger version of the singer in the music video for her song \u201cMine\u201d in 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jarrett credited Swift\u2019s parents, Scott<\/strong> and Andrea<\/strong>, for keeping their daughter humble and true to her roots.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
