Former Bachelor<\/i> Andrew Firestone<\/strong> announced he and his wife, Ivana Firestone<\/strong>, were splitting up \u2014 before abruptly deleting the post.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThose who know us well know that family has always been at the foundation of our lives and at the center of everything we do,\u201d Andrew, 50, wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, according to multiple<\/a> outlets<\/a>. \u201cAfter much reflection and many hours of counseling we have decided that we can best serve our children and honor that commitment to family by moving forward separately as co-parents.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew continued, \u201cWhile this was not an easy decision, we remain united in raising our children with love, stability, and the values we share.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple, who got married in 2008, share three children: Adam<\/strong>, 16, Anja<\/strong>, 14, and Shane<\/strong>, 11.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThough no longer a couple, we will always be a family, cheering from the actual and proverbial sidelines for our children\u2019s \u2014 and each other\u2019s \u2014 happiness and success,\u201d the post reportedly continued. \u201cSeventeen years of marriage is an achievement we deeply honor, as it brought us three extraordinary children and forged lifelong, generational bonds and friendships that will always endure.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ivana hinted at a fresh start via social media on Sunday, August 31.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew, the great-grandson of Firestone Tire & Rubber Company founder Harvey S. Firestone<\/strong>, appeared on the third season of The Bachelor<\/i> in 2003, where he got engaged to Jen Schefft<\/strong>. The couple split later that year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After getting engaged in 2007, Andrew and Ivana got married in Santa Barbara, California, in July 2008.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
