Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> is rewriting the chilling ending to her Rocky Horror<\/em>-inspired \u201cTears\u201d music video.<\/p>\n On Friday (Aug. 29), the 26-year-old pop star released the original version<\/a> of her haunting \u201cTears\u201d video, coinciding with the drop of her seventh studio album, Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em>.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n The nearly five-minute clip follows Carpenter as she recovers from a car accident that appears to have killed her traveling companion. Alone and disoriented, she stumbles upon a creepy, isolated house. Inside, she discovers a world of sex and hedonism, evoking the cult classic horror musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show<\/em>. The video culminates with Carpenter ending the life of her presumed-dead lover.<\/p>\n \u201cWait, no, you died earlier, I thought? It\u2019s a thing, someone has to die every video,\u201d she says, as she throws a stiletto into his chest. \u201cI\u2019m sorry. We\u2019ll always remember you, though.\u201d<\/p>\n On Monday (Sept. 1), Carpenter teased \u201ca new ending\u201d to the \u201cTears\u201d video on her Instagram Story<\/a>, sharing a link to the clip on YouTube<\/a>. In this alternate conclusion, her traveling partner meets yet another grisly fate.<\/p>\n After Carpenter is ejected from the eerie house, she looks up to see the man emerging from the woods. \u201cBabe, I\u2019m so glad you\u2019re okay,\u201d he says, limping and coughing. \u201cI\u2019ve been looking everywhere for you.\u201d Suddenly, lightning strikes as he jitters with sparks and nervous laughter. Carpenter warns him to move aside as a cracking sound approaches.
