Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> can add one more item to her list of reasons to celebrate.<\/p>\n Spotify announced on Monday, September 1, that Swift\u2019s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> \u2014 set to be released on Friday, October 3 \u2014 has officially become the most pre-saved album in the streaming service\u2019s history.<\/p>\n \u201cOn August 31, 2025, Taylor Swift\u2019s The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> became the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in Spotify history,\u201d Spotify wrote via Instagram<\/a> over Swift\u2019s album cover art. The streamer captioned the post with a single flaming heart emoji.<\/p>\n Fans of the pop star quickly took to the comments section to share in their excitement. \u201cThat’s what we call AURA \ud83e\udde1,\u201d one Swiftie wrote, while another added, \u201cTaylor Swift is the music industry \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor Swift Reveals Release Date, Tracklist for 12th Album \u2018The Life of a Showgirl\u2019 on \u2018New Heights\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n Others pointed out that Swift was beating her own previous milestone that she achieved with her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, in 2024. \u201cMind you TTPD<\/em> broke the record ONE day before release, and Showgirl broke it again ONE month before release\ud83d\ude2d,\u201d one person said. A fourth noted: \u201cThe album is not out yet and it\u2019s already breaking records.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift announced the release of her 12th record while appearing on fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce<\/strong> and his brother Jason Kelce\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast last month<\/a>. She revealed that she wrote the album, which was produced solely by Max Martin<\/strong> and Shellback<\/strong>, while on her two-year worldwide Eras Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI would do three shows in a row, [and then] I\u2019d have three days off,\u201d Swift explained of her writing process. \u201cI\u2019d fly to Sweden, [then] go back to the tour. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift noted that it \u201cmeant the world\u201d to have another \u201ccreative experience<\/a>\u201d with Martin and Shellback, who she first wrote with on her 2012 album Red.<\/em> The trio teamed back up for songs on Swift\u2019s 2014 album 1989 and 2016\u2019s Rep, but haven\u2019t worked together since.<\/p>\n According to the Grammy winner, collaborating with the producers created some of her \u201cbest\u201d work yet.<\/p>\n
