One year on from the launch of Community Music<\/strong>, and the hits keep on coming.<\/p>\n

That’s the story being told over at the artist services ecosystem, which officially arrived<\/u><\/a> on the Aussie music scene back in October thanks to UNIFIED Music Group <\/strong>and their desire to see “creative control back in the hands of Australia\u2019s music community.”<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Since its debut close to one year ago, more and more achievements have taken place. Just last week, Community Music announced<\/u><\/a> a groundbreaking A&R partnership with iconic indie label Pieater<\/strong>, and back in April, the launch<\/u><\/a> of its Publishing And Sync arm saw Rachel Kelly<\/strong> named General Manager of the new division.<\/p>\n

Now, on September 2nd, UNIFIED has detailed its latest undertaking, Ground Floor<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, a new accelerator program powered by the Community Music ecosystem and focused on empowering independent Australian artists who are “ready to take the next step in their careers.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Utilising Community Music’s myriad resources, Ground Floor seeks to provide a six months of hands-on support, mentorship and release guidance for rising acts. With a number of of Community Music’s team members offering vital skills through educational workshops, the end goal is for these emerging names to be release-ready, with a live performance opportunity also waiting for them.<\/p>\n

As UNIFIED Music Group\u2019s Founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford<\/strong> explains, the launch of Ground Floor is entirely focusing on creating pathways for artists.<\/p>\n

“There’s a lot of discussion in the industry around whether it’s difficult to break into industry, or however people want to frame the challenge,” Comerford explains. “No doubt it’s challenging, and I can’t remember a time when it was ever easy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

“But in order to create a pipeline with more opportunities, we thought we would just go to the earliest stage we possibly could and create a program that could essentially start to onboard more and more artists into our ecosystem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

“Hopefully, we can be giving opportunities to the next Ocean Alley<\/strong> and the next Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers<\/strong>,” he adds.<\/p>\n
