Many people believed Funkmaster Flex may have been behind the 56-year-old DJ being let go, but the audacious personality<\/a> said otherwise.<\/p>\n \u201cTMZ<\/em> could never twist me up to flip on my guy, I love him to death,\u201d Flex said during his final 7 p.m. broadcast on Monday evening (Sept. 1) before he moves to the 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. block. Initially, due to the phrasing of his announcement, people thought Flex was leaving the popular NYC radio station, but it was merely one of multiple shift changes <\/a>that came with one shocking casualty<\/a> in Enuff being dropped. Nonetheless, the 57-year-old DJ asserted that he would not need to work against anyone else due to his status.<\/p>\n \u201cI would never have anything to do\u2014not just my brother. I would have nothing to do with anyone being fired or no longer here. You know why? I\u2019m too hot,\u201d he added. \u201cWhy would I be worried about anybody in here? Why would I feel that anybody should not be here? I don\u2019t believe in that. I don\u2019t influence that. I don\u2019t need to. I like to grind. Listen, he grinds too. Everybody grinds.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bronx producer continued by saying that Enuff and others should be more focused on the people he believes are in his corner, but may have actually been sneakily conspiring against him. \u201cThe people who snaked you, man, was in that video on your goodbye. The people who snaked you were standing outside when you was with TMZ<\/em>,\u201d Flex said. \u201cThey were standing with you, my brother. You go back to that video and you really look at their faces.\u201d<\/p>\n The people in the TMZ<\/a><\/em> video were Enuff\u2019s wife, plus his former co-workers DJ Drewski<\/a>, DJ E-Stylez, and DJ Lady S. Enuff cried when being interviewed and stated his belief that Flex may have been responsible for his firing. Notably, Drewski was given a new DJ shift on the station, taking over the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot. Nonetheless, Flex doubled down on giving Enuff his flowers and highlighting how he changed the game within his 27-year run.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is the originator of putting the line at those Spanish clubs around the block. There would be no Spanish hip-hop parties without DJ Enuff,\u201d Flex stated. \u201cHe is the originator of it. He\u2019s the originator of doing two or three bookings a night, moving around, doing his thing.
