On Tuesday, 9 September, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the webinar \u201cPopular Entertainment, an ambassador world of joy and hope<\/i>\u201d will take place. The event is co-organized by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and the Migrants Foundation.<\/p>\n
It will be an opportunity to learn more about the reality of popular entertainment and its link to the Catholic faith, following on from the Jubilee of Bands and Popular Entertainment held on 10 and 11 May.<\/p>\n
Hope, a jubilee theme, will be discussed in terms of popular religiosity, but also as a value present on stage. Through this spiritual lens, the present and the past will be observed, with a global vision of a world of particular traditions and folklore, which must confront the reality of globalization.<\/p>\n
The symposium will be opened by Dr Salvatore Luciano Bonventre, national advisor to the Italian Federation of Popular Traditions. This will be followed by contributions from institutional figures and university professors linked to the world of popular entertainment and its pastoral care.<\/p>\n
Prof. Alessandro Serena, Scientific Director of Open Circus, will close the event. The moderator is Don Mirko Dalla Torre, diocesan and regional head of Fondazione Migrantes<\/i>.
