Charlie Sheen<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t have many rules for his past parties \u2014 but there was something he told guests before they entered.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt my parties, I always said, \u2018Park your judgement at the door. No pain in the bedroom. And no one can die,\u2019\u201d Sheen, 59, recalled in an interview with People<\/em><\/a>, published on Tuesday, September 2. \u201cThose were good rules.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor detailed his high-profile partying lifestyle, explaining what led him on this path.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was always that voice of doubt, that it was only a matter of time before it all went away, so to enjoy it as heartily as you can,\u201d Sheen said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAlthough Charlie Sheen grew up in a family of celebrated actors, he wasn\u2019t always \u201cwinning!\u201d The New York City native (real name Carlos Est\u00e9vez) started acting as a child, making an uncredited appearance in his father Martin Sheen\u2019s 1974 made-for-TV movie The Execution of Private Slovik. Charlie did not make his own foray onto the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sheen is gearing up to turn 60 on Wednesday, September 3, but he\u2019s also preparing for the release of his Book of Sheen<\/em> memoir on Tuesday, September 9, and Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen<\/em><\/a>, set to be released on Wednesday, September 10.<\/p>\n

Neither project is about Sheen \u201csetting the record straight\u201d and \u201crighting all the wrongs of my past,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of my 50s were spent apologizing to the people I hurt. I also didn\u2019t want to write from the place of being a victim. I wasn\u2019t, and I own everything I did. It\u2019s just me, finally telling the stories in the way they actually happened,\u201d the actor continued. \u201cThe stories I can remember, anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheen made it clear that he\u2019s \u201cnot\u201d calling this next chapter \u201ca comeback\u201d for his acting career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m calling it a reset,\u201d he explained. \u201cI\u2019m just living for the next moment, whatever that turns out to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Two and a Half Men alum made headlines for his past addiction struggles throughout the 2000s and has experienced several rehab stays. He was fired from the show, in which he starred alongside Jon Cryer, in 2011. Sheen has since adjusted to a different lifestyle, telling People that he\u2019s been sober since 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to be willing,\u201d he said of getting sober. \u201cI keep a [mental list] of the worst, most shameful things I\u2019ve done, and I can look at that in my head if I feel like having a drink.\u201d<\/p>\n
