Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star Christine Brown<\/strong> revealed that she was addicted to painkillers for a time while she was married to her ex-husband, Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n In her new memoir, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom<\/em>, which was released on Tuesday, September 2, Christine, 53, explained that she began taking Oxycodone after she underwent knee surgery in 2016.<\/p>\n \u201cI had never taken oxycodone before \u2014 if something hurt, I took ibuprofen or aspirin,\u201d the mom of five wrote. \u201cWith the surgery, I had already fixed the problem, and it hurt, so I took my meds.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she soon realized that the prescription medicine was much stronger than the over-the-counter pills she was used to taking.<\/p>\n \u201cOn the third day, after the surgery, I felt like I had the flu. I was achy from head to toe,\u201d Christine continued. \u201cI took an oxycodone, and all the symptoms went away. \u2018Oh,\u2019 I thought, \u2018I\u2019m not taking this for my knee anymore. I\u2019m taking it because I\u2019m achy everywhere.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star also went into detail about how she took Oxycodone before she was set to do a one-on-one interview for Sister Wives<\/em> and said, \u201cIt gave me the best high I ever felt. I was on top of the world and I could accomplish everything! I lived about two minutes away from the interview set, so I could take an oxycodone just before I left, drive to work before it hit and then feel great on set. Oxy made the set fine.
