Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u2018s new album Man\u2019s Best Friend <\/em>was one of the year\u2019s most highly anticipated pop releases for months before it dropped \u2014 and now, it has the numbers on Spotify to prove it.<\/p>\n As announced by the streaming service Tuesday (Sept. 2), the 12-track LP has set a new 2025 record for most streams in a single day for an album by a female artist. On Instagram Stories, Carpenter reacted to the news by writing, \u201cThis blows my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cCan\u2019t thank you enough for listening,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n On X, Carpenter also reshared the announcement and wrote, \u201cI can\u2019t believe this \u2026 thank you so much for listening.\u201d<\/p>\n The confirmation of the streaming feat comes just a few days after the Grammy winner released Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em>, her seventh studio album, on Aug. 29. She first announced<\/a> the project in June, shortly after dropping lead single \u201cManchild,\u201d which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> \u2014 Carpenter\u2019s second-ever No. 1 on the chart.<\/p>\n But as impressive as Carpenter\u2019s new milestone is, it\u2019s not difficult to ascertain why so many people would tune in once she dropped MBF<\/em>. The Girl Meets World <\/em>alum had set expectations quite high after breaking through to pop-superstar status in 2024 with the success of album Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em>, which spawned hits such as \u201cEspresso\u201d \u2014 which, speaking of Spotify, was the platform\u2019s most-streamed song<\/a> last year \u2014 and Hot 100 No. 1 \u201cPlease Please Please.\u201d<\/p>\n Even so, the performer didn\u2019t let any pressure to top Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em> get to her while making Man\u2019s Best Friend <\/em>with collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen. In a recent interview with Interview<\/em>, Carpenter explained, \u201cI was just like, \u2018This is no different than when I was making the last album.’\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNobody told me I needed to put it out at any date,\u201d she continued. \u201cIf I felt inspired, I would just write.
