The Sex Pistols and Frank Carter\u00a0have some bad news to share.<\/p>\n
On Friday, guitarist Steve Jones broke the news to fans that he had broken his wrist and that the band would need to postpone their upcoming run of North and American shows<\/a> that had been slated to kick off on Sept. 16 at Dallas\u2019 Longhorn Ballroom.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first?\u201d wrote Jones in an Instagram post. \u201cOkay, the bad news: I\u2019ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won\u2019t be doing any shows for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n On the other hand, the musician said that the \u201cgood news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I\u2019ll be 70 tomorrow!\u201d Before ending his message, he said, \u201cGod bless, and God save the wrist.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with the group\u2019s North American concerts, their shows in South America have also been postponed and will be rescheduled when Jones fully recovers. More information will be shared on local venue websites and social media.<\/p>\n The Sex Pistol\u2019s 50th anniversary tour lineup <\/a>features Jones, bassist Glen Matlock, drummer Paul Cook, and Gallows singer and new vocalist Frank Carter performing the 1977 punk classic\u00a0Never Mind the Bollocks, Here\u2019s the Sex Pistols<\/em>\u00a0in its entirety, including other tracks from the band\u2019s catalog.<\/p>\n The tour was set to be the band\u2019s first North American performances since 2003, when its members took the stage with original frontman John Lydon, a.k.a.
