Head nurse Carla Espinosa was one of the best characters on \u201cScrubs<\/a>,\u201d a series filled with good characters.<\/p>\n Now Judy Reyes<\/a>, who played Carla, is officially coming back for the \u201cScrubs\u201d revival.<\/p>\n “So thrilled to get back together with my Scrubs family!!”<\/a> Reyes shared on Instagram Tuesday in response to a Deadline report<\/a> about her signing on for the series.<\/p>\n Reyes is set to return as Carla in a recurring guest star capacity, joining fellow original \u201cScrubs\u201d stars Zach Braff<\/a>, Donald Faison<\/a> and Sarah Chalke<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/b>\u2018Scrubs\u2019 revival starring N.J.\u2019s Zach Braff greenlit with series alums Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n The \u201cScrubs\u201d revival will air on ABC, the same network where Reyes currently appears in the crime drama \u201cHigh Potential<\/a>\u201d with \u201cIt\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia\u201d star Kaitlin Olson<\/a>. Reyes plays Lt. Selena Soto with the Los Angeles Police Department\u2019s Major Crimes unit in that show, which is heading into its second season this month.<\/p>\n Reyes has also starred on the TNT series \u201cClaws<\/a>\u201d and the Lifetime series \u201cDevious Maids<\/a>\u201d and has made appearances on the popular HBO shows \u201cThe Sopranos<\/a>\u201d and \u201cSuccession<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n The original run of \u201cScrubs<\/a>\u201d aired on NBC from 2001 to 2008, then ABC from 2009 to 2010.<\/p>\n Carla, who appeared in the first eight seasons of the show, was a key authority figure at Sacred Heart Hospital.<\/p>\n
