Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> opened up about his engagement to Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> for the first time since the couple announced the news.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, reflected on his proposal to the pop star, also 35, during the Wednesday, September 3, episode of his and brother Jason Kelce\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast, revealing that he still feels \u201cgiddy\u201d about calling Swift his fianc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

When asked whether he had any advice to share for fans planning the perfect proposals, Travis kept his answer short and sweet.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, you gotta know your gal. Or your significant other. You can\u2019t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way. \u2026 You might be able to get some ideas from how other people did it, might get the creative juices flowing,\u201d he explained. \u201cI would just say know your partner, know who you\u2019re doing it for and do it for the right reasons, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis later hinted that wedding planning is about to \u201cgo crazy\u201d but admitted that he hasn\u2019t thought about his bachelor party for \u201cone second.\u201d He went on to thank listeners for their support before Jason, 37, celebrated the pair\u2019s milestone.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations again, Trav. Very happy for you and Tay, can\u2019t wait to see what the future holds for both of you,\u201d Jason said.<\/p>\n

One week earlier, Travis and Swift confirmed their engagement<\/a> after two years of dating.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married \ud83e\udde8,\u201d the pair captioned a joint Instagram post on August 26.<\/p>\n

The accompanying photos offered a glimpse of the proposal as Travis got down on one knee in a flower-filled garden. Swift also showed off her stunning old mine brilliant cut diamond ring<\/a> designed by Kindred Lubbock at Artifex Fine Jewelry.<\/p>\n

While last week\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d episode came out the day after the engagement news, it was recorded before the public announcement. However, Jason opened the show with a special message<\/a> for the betrothed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe felt necessary \u2014 as in a team here at \u2018New Heights\u2019 \u2014 to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged!\u201d he shouted. \u201cThe proposal heard \u2019round the world!\u201d<\/p>\n
