But SM Entertainment is now exploring an area where training means something very different: GenAI music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/musically.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=d52f6bce2f35240a62f393249&amp;id=38b5635175&amp;e=0c9a00707b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed a deal with startup Verses<\/a>\u00a0to use the latter\u2019s \u2018multimodal AI rapmaker\u2019 product Rappie. SM will be using the technology for a \u201cnew artist project\u201d that will involve \u201cofficial tracks produced with renowned composers and culminate in an immersive XR (Extended Reality) concert\u201d. Details of the composers involved have not been announced yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verses has previously worked with K-Pop group Aespa on a metaverse project: founders Sean Lee and Kyungtae Kim\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/musically.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=d52f6bce2f35240a62f393249&amp;id=e6ae8d5327&amp;e=0c9a00707b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told our Music Ally Focus podcast all about that in March last year<\/a>.
