The DCU iteration of A.R.G.U.S. is a US government agency operating under the United States Department of Defense. Its current leader is Frank Grillo\u2019s Rick Flag, Sr.<\/p>\n James Gunn took to Threads<\/a> to disclose the full form of A.R.G.U.S. in the DCU. He shared an image of the logo of the organization, the acronym, and its full form, revealing that A.R.G.U.S. stands for Advanced Research Group of the United States.<\/p>\n A fan in the comment section enquired why it was changed from the Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans, which is what the organization is called in DC Comics. Gunn responded, \u201cWell it\u2019s not the first time it\u2019s been changed, but in the DCU they aren\u2019t so much uniting superheroes as they are attempting to keep them in check.\u201d<\/p>\n While answering a different fan, Gunn explained the purpose of A.R.G.U.S. in that fictional universe.
