Just like the holiday season can\u2019t really kick off until Mariah Carey says so, Lady Gaga<\/a> is here to be your official spooky season ambassador. Mother Monster gave her Little Monsters something to (monster) mash about on Wednesday morning (Sept. 3) when she dropped the electro pop banger \u201cThe Dead Dance\u201d from the soundtrack to season two of Netflix\u2019s hit Wednesday<\/em> series.<\/p>\n The song co-written by Gaga with Andrew Watt and Henry Walter \u2014\u00a0and co-produced by the singer, Watt and Cirkut \u2014\u00a0has a bouncy 1980s electro pop vibe, propelled by funhouse keyboards and bright drum machine beats as Gaga muses about hoofing it to the end. \u201cYeah, I\u2019ll keep on\/ Dancin\u2019 until I\u2019m dead\/Dancin\u2019 until I\u2019m dead,\u201d she sings on the Thriller<\/em>-esque chorus.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Gaga has joined the cast of the hit Addams Family<\/em> spin-off show, appearing alongside star Jenny Ortega, Emma Myers and Joy Sunday as new character Rosaline Rotwood<\/a>. \u201cCuz when you killed me inside, that\u2019s when I came alive,\u201d Gaga sings in a verse that reverses the usual mortality curse. \u201cAnd the music\u2019s gonna bring me back from death\/ I\u2019m dancin\u2019 until I\u2019m dead.\u201d<\/p>\n The second part of season two debuts on Wednesday as well, a week after Gaga attended Netflix and Spotify\u2019s \u201cGraveyard Gala\u201d in New York City, as part of the promotional Doom Tour for season. \u201cIt\u2019s a part of the show, and I\u2019m so excited for you to see it,\u201d Gaga told the cheering crowd, adding that she had a \u201cwonderful time\u201d working on the show, shouting out star Ortega and director\/executive producer Tim Burton.<\/p>\n The soundtrack for the new season features an eclectic mix of artists and genres, from the Barry Lipman Singers (\u201cTropical Island\u201d), to Sixpence None the Richer (\u201cKiss Me\u201d), MAMAMOO (\u201cUm Oh Ah Yey\u201d), Bruce Springsteen (\u201cDancing in the Dark\u201d), The Kinks (\u201cYou Really Got Me\u201d), Roky Erickson (\u201cI Walked With a Zombie\u201d), R.E.M.
