When Jessica Sanchez auditioned for the first season of America\u2019s Got Talent<\/a> <\/em>back in 2006, she was a child \u2014 now, she\u2019s back and performing while with child on national TV.<\/p>\n On Tuesday\u2019s (Sept. 2) episode of the show, Sanchez appeared in the third quarterfinal round to deliver a heart-wrenching performance<\/a> of Alex Warren\u2019s breakout hit \u201cOrdinary.\u201d Wearing an oversized suit to show off her eight-month baby bump, Sanchez powered through the song, earning a raucous standing ovation by the end of her performance.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Audiences were even further impressed when judge Simon Cowell revealed that Sanchez was powering through some health complications during the number. \u201cSeconds ago, before Jessica came out, I heard that she wasn\u2019t feeling too good. And I said, \u2018Genuinely, it\u2019s your choice whether you want to do this or not,’\u201d he said. \u201cAnd Jessica said, \u2018No, I want to do this.\u2019 I was like, \u2018You are a brave, brave person.’\u201d<\/p>\n Cowell continued showering Sanchez with praise, saying that the singer had \u201can amazing tone\u201d and a \u201cglow\u201d throughout the performance of the song that topped Billboard<\/em>\u2018s weekly Songs of the Summer list<\/a> for all 14 weeks this season. \u201cPeople are going to really like you, I really believe [they will] root for you,\u201d he said. \u201cI am so happy after all these years, on our 20th anniversary, you\u2019ve come back. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n The storied singing competition judge was referring to Sanchez\u2019s first performance on America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>\u2018s very first season. The singer, who was then 10 years old, made it to the semifinals round of the competition as a wildcard contestant, but ultimately did not secure the votes to move onto the finale.<\/p>\n Sanchez came back to AGT <\/em>for its 20th season, where she auditioned<\/a> for the show singing Benson Boone\u2019s \u201cBeautiful Things.\u201d The judges were so impressed that Sanchez wound up earning a golden buzzer from judge Sofia Vergara, sending her immediately to the live round of the competition.<\/p>\n Watch Sanchez\u2019s stirring performance of Alex Warren\u2019s \u201cOrdinary\u201d above.
