Miley Cyrus<\/a>\u2019 family<\/a> knows how to pick a song that sums them up. <\/p>\n In recent years, the Cyrus Family has often been on the headlines due to messy divorces, rumors, relationships and rivalries. But over time, they\u2019ve found their way back to each other, appearing together at awards shows and openly supporting one another in interviews, talk shows and podcasts.<\/p>\n The family has been very busy this past year, though. For instance, Miley Cyrus released her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, along with an accompanying film. Noah Cyrus<\/a> released her second album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me, while Brandi Cyrus just wrapped up a residency in Las Vegas a couple of months ago. In between shows, Brandi records a podcast alongside her mom and Miley\u2019s manager, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Sorry We\u2019re Cyrus. <\/p>\n In an interview with The Cut<\/a> for the magazine\u2019s \u201cFall Fashion\u201d issue, the women of the Cyrus Family sat down on Tish\u2019s couch in her Los Angeles home to discuss various topics such as their family dynamic, what music<\/a> speaks to them, family values and what life<\/a> lessons they had to learn recently the hard way. <\/p>\n A big topic that was discussed during their conversation was music and how it impacted their upbringing. The Hannah Montana star explained that they listened to a lot of 1980s rock and country music<\/a> growing up. She even brought up the time when the family saw O-Town in downtown Nashville and Brandi snuck Miley into the pit section, which made Tish furious. <\/p>\n Eventually, the conversation turned to which song each of them would be. Miley admitted that hers was \u201cThe Thing\u201d by The Pixies because she had a memory of the family driving up to Santa Barbara and blasting that song while driving through the strawberry<\/a> fields. <\/p>\n Meanwhile, Brandi, the eldest daughter, who is also a singer, DJ and podcast host, said that her song was \u201cThat Don\u2019t Impress Me Much\u201d by Shania Twain<\/a>. Released in 1997 as one of the singles in Twain\u2019s album, Come On Over, the tune describes three self-absorbed suitors: a know-it-all, a man obsessed with his looks and another who\u2019s obsessed with his car. Twain, as the title implies, is not impressed. <\/p>\n Miley responded afterwards, saying that her song was \u201cvery Brandi energy\u201d and that she has \u201calways been uncompromising, and that\u2019s what [she] should be doing.\u201d<\/p>\n \n
