An offshoot of CBS’ two-season-old “Fire Country” franchise, “Sheriff Country,” will premier at downtown Nashville’s Woolworth Theater. The franchise has featured several Nashville country music stars.<\/p>\n
The Sept. 24 public showing of the new primetime drama, starring actress Morena Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox, will take place at 6 p.m. at the theater, at 223 Rep. John Lewis Way N.<\/p>\n

Admission is on a first-come basis and subject to capacity limits.<\/p>\n Less than a month after the premiere, the debut of “Sheriff Country” will air Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. ET\/PT. One week later, the program will move to its regular timeslot on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. ET\/PT.<\/p>\n Nashville’s country music industry has played a significant role in “Fire Country.”<\/p>\n Series creator and star Max Thieriot has described himself as a “huge” country music fan.<\/p>\n In 2023, Kane Brown appeared on the program while Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert paired for a quartet of new singles that aired on the show. In 2024, Jelly Roll also made a guest appearance.<\/p>\n “Sheriff Country” will be aired before “Fire Country” in a programming slot that will be called “Smoke Show Fridays.”<\/p>\n “Fire Country” stars Max Thieriot as Bode Leone, a convict who grows from partnering with firefighters to extinguish wildfires across the region to joining Cal Fire in his small Northern California hometown.<\/p>\n “Sheriff Country” will star Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire Division Chief Sharon Leone. Fox investigates crimes while also contending with her ex-con father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), an off-the-grid marijuana grower.
