And you can be sad and lament it all you want, but the change is here,\u201d Witherspoon, 49, continued, adding that she uses the technology every day.<\/p>\n

But many more were outraged. This \u201csmells like a power grab by Hollywood elites, sidelining regular creatives while she pushes for women to dominate a tech boys\u2019 club,\u201d wrote on X user, while another noted that \u201cit\u2019s easy to say this when you own a production company and see your job vanish while your creative colleagues are thrown out on their asses for an algorithm recycling the last century of cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others reminded the Legally Blonde<\/em> actress that AI usage was one of the reasons actors went on strike<\/a> in 2023. \u201cWhen they make an AI film with her face and it\u2019s a scene that she wouldn\u2019t do if she was dead or alive it\u2019s gonna be a whole different story,\u201d wrote one commenter, adding that AI is \u201cliterally going to steal jobs from real life actors and actresses.\u201d<\/p>\n

Witherspoon\u2019s comments were similar to those made<\/a> by Ben Affleck<\/strong> at CNBC\u2019s Delivering Alpha 2024 investor summit.<\/p>\n
