Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mother, Mandy Teefey<\/strong>, has been accused of using drugs in her office at their joint Wondermind organization.<\/p>\n

In a Wednesday, September 3, expos\u00e9 published by The Cut<\/a>, anonymous employees claimed that Teefey, 49, would sometimes be intoxicated while at the office. One individual alleged that she was seen snorting what was believed to be a \u201cline of Ritalin.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other former staffers, meanwhile, claimed that a \u201crotation of nurses\u201d would regularly drop by and give Teefey vitamin IV drips that allegedly dispensed liquid Benadryl. Teefey reportedly told people in the room that she needed the injections to \u201cdeal with allergies and the aftermath of severe COVID and double pneumonia.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEmployees say that after the injections, Teefey spoke slowly and seemed drowsy,\u201d the article alleges. \u201cOccasionally, Teefey\u2019s younger daughter came to the office for sleepovers, which worried employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement shared with The Cut, Mandy denied snorting Ritalin in her office, succinctly stating it \u201cabsolutely\u201d never happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth. Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a former staffer, Selena was allegedly aware of her mother\u2019s issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will say this with the utmost certainty \u2014 no doubt, hesitation in my mind,\u201d the individual told The Cut. \u201cSelena knew her mother was not well enough to be running that company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Selena has not publicly addressed the accusations. Us Weekly <\/i>reached out for comment.<\/p>\n

Selena and Mandy cofounded Wondermind<\/a>, a multimedia platform designed to offer mental health support, in 2022 alongside Daniella Pierson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Teefey, 48, shared her experience via Instagram on Monday, March 10, recalling how she was in a business meeting when the investor suggested that giving birth to Gomez, 32, was her biggest accomplishment. \u201cHello, all [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That same year, Selena opened up about her decision to get involved<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the people that I\u2019ve looked up to my whole life is Princess Diana<\/strong> and, this sounds silly, but what would come out of her was so honest and real, and that\u2019s all I want this to be,\u201d she said in a May 2022 interview<\/a> in a Wondermind newsletter. \u201cA real, honest, safe, comfortable place \u2014 something people can turn to. I hope nothing more than for people to feel what I feel when I think about what we\u2019re doing and when I think about other people and talk to people on our expert [advisory] committee and people that have the same goal and vision that we do.\u201d<\/p>\n
