Oscar Isaac<\/a> scored his second Venice ovation in five days as Julian Schnabel<\/a>\u2019s literary epic \u201cIn the Hand of Dante<\/a>\u201d premiered to eight minutes of applause on Wednesday night. Isaac<\/a> also leads Guillermo del Toro<\/a>\u2019s \u201cFrankenstein<\/a>,\u201d which debuted on the Lido Saturday to a rapturous 13-minute reception.<\/p>\n

As the credits rolled on \u201cIn the Hand of Dante<\/a>,\u201d in which Isaac plays both the 14th-century poet Dante Alighieri<\/a> and 21st-century author Nick Tosches<\/a>, the actor embraced his director and waved to a crowd of adoring fans.<\/p>\n

Earlier on the red carpet, Isaac posed for photos with co-star Jason Momoa<\/a>, who wore a baby pink suit with matching Birkenstocks. Though Momoa walked into Venice\u2019s Sala Grande with his director and cast \u2014 including Louis Cancelmi<\/a>, Franco Nero<\/a> and Benjamin Clementine<\/a> \u2014 the actor soon made an exit before the film started and was not present for the ovation.
