GUILFORD \u2014 The first public showing of Brian Remer\u2019s film short, “Time Machine” will be held at Zeller Hall at the Guilford Community Church at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 5.<\/p>\n

The filmmaker describes the 13-minute short as the interplay of memory, time, nostalgia and regret. It stars local musician Peter Amidon and his grandson Desmond Bode, and was filmed primarily in Guilford.<\/p>\n

Remer has spent his career facilitating meetings and training for businesses, government and nonprofits and is the author of a book of 99-word stories. \u201cI am always interested in delivering a thought-provoking message in as few words as possible,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2019Time Machine\u2019 is my attempt to tell a short story through the medium of film.\u201d<\/p>\n

There will be a Q & A with the production crew after the showing. Light refreshments will be served in an air-conditioned space. This is a free event however donations are encouraged to support the Brattleboro Area Interfaith Youth Group. It is appropriate for all ages and languages.<\/p>\n
