Seth Meyers<\/a> on Tuesday delighted over President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s light public schedule in recent days, an itinerary that helped fuel rumors that his health was declining. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cBut can I just say, in all sincerity, the week he wasn\u2019t on camera, I never felt better,\u201d quipped the \u201cLate Night<\/a>\u201d host.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI felt great! I felt great! I had that RFK Jr. energy, you know that energy where you just want to go do pushups in your jeans<\/a>!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump \u2014 who remained largely out of the public eye over the past week and stayed at the White House over the Labor Day holiday weekend, fueling speculation that he might be dead \u2014 took to his Truth Social platform<\/a> on Sunday to declare that he \u201cNEVER FELT BETTER<\/a>\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The president has been spotted with swollen ankles as well as bruises on his hands, the latter of which have appeared to be covered up<\/a> with<\/a> concealer. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Tuesday, Trump claimed he wasn\u2019t aware of the death rumors<\/a>, dismissing talk of poor health by stressing that he recently did \u201cnumerous news conferences\u201d that were \u201call successful.\u201d He claimed to be \u201cvery active\u201d over the weekend, as well (there weren\u2019t events on his public schedule).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier in Meyers\u2019 monologue, he said Trump\u2019s Truth Social<\/a> post showed \u201cright away\u201d that he was \u201clying.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cNo 79-year-old has ever, ever, never felt better. When any 79-year-old says, \u2018I never felt better,\u2019 you just assume they\u2019re being sarcastic or they\u2019re in cognitive decline,\u201d the host said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued, \u201cAnd by the way, no judgment, I\u2019m 51. My main hobby is thinking about how much better I used to feel. I stay up until 4 a.m. drinking then just wake up, go to work the next day without a problem. Now, if I so much as step on a Lego, I\u2019m in a walking boot for three days!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
