The Beths<\/a> have announced their return to Australia, playing a run of shows in April 2026. The shows are part of the band\u2019s ongoing world tour in support of their recently-released fourth studio album, Straight Line Was A Lie<\/em>, and will see the band playing their biggest headlining shows locally to date. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to be so good at these songs by then\u2026 I hope,\u201d quipped lead vocalist and guitarist Liz Stokes in a press statement. \u201cCan\u2019t wait to play them for you.\u201d The band premiered several tracks from Straight Line Was A Lie<\/em> on their most recent Australian tour, which took place back in March \u2013 including the title track, \u2018Mosquitoes\u2019, \u2018Take\u2019 and the album\u2019s second single, \u2018No Joy\u2019.<\/p>\n Straight Line Was A Lie<\/em> was released last week, roughly three years after the release of their third album Expert In A Dying Field<\/em>. Produced by lead guitarist Jonathan Pierce, the album has thus far spawned three singles: \u2018Metal\u2019, the aforementioned \u2018No Joy\u2019 and \u2018Mother, Pray For Me\u2019. Its chart placement is to be determined; however, it is expected to chart well in the band\u2019s native New Zealand, where Expert In A Dying Field<\/em> topped the albums chart upon release in 2022.<\/p>\n The band will kick off the Straight Line Was A Lie<\/em> world tour with two nights at the Button Factory in Dublin later this month. The tour will take the band across the UK, mainland Europe and North America through to mid-December.
